Kaiser Permanente Ranks Highest in 2011 J.D. Power and Associates Employer Satisfaction Study

OAKLAND, Calif. — Kaiser Permanente announced today that employers ranked the organization’s health plan the highest among fully insured commercial health plans in the J.D. Power and Associates 2011 U.S. Employer Health Insurance Plan StudySM. The organization received top marks across five key areas that affect employer satisfaction with carriers, including employee plan service experience; account servicing; product offering/benefit design; problem resolution; and cost/cost management.

Kaiser Permanente was recognized by IDG's CIO magazine with a CIO 100 Award for using information technology in innovative ways that provide value. The award was specifically in honor of Kaiser Permanente's first-of-its-kind Mobile Health Vehicle.

Kaiser Permanente Offered as Health Care Reform Model on the NBC Nightly News

With the debate about health care reform gaining momentum, the NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams reported that there is a model for that reform already working and serving millions of patients.

That model, NBC chief science correspondent Robert Bazell reported March 4, is Kaiser Permanente.

 

Kaiser Permanente receives the most stars for a sixth time in California Health Plan Report Card

For the sixth year in a row, Kaiser Permanente received the most stars in the HMO Quality Report from the California Office of the Patient Advocate (OPA). Kaiser Permanente's Southern California Region and Northern California Region were the only two health plans to earn six stars of a possible eight in the overall ratings of the just released 2006 OPA Healthcare Quality Report Card. The two Kaiser Permanente regions also led the way in clinical quality.
