There are many reasons why a person would set out on getting a health insurance policy. Students who are graduated from college can no longer be covered from their parents’ policies, so they would need to hunt for a policy of their own. It may take time to find a job that provides health insurance as one of the perks. One more reason could be that the person could have lost a job and would be uncovered till he/she finds new employment. Even with a new job, it could take several months till their policy would begin to pay.
